Level: BEGINNERS – EASY
Our beginner’s hot water bottle cover, is an easy knit, with no shaping. The pattern uses a simple 2 x 2 rib, but because there are an odd number of stitches, it becomes an off-set rib, which creates a very thick, spongy fabric, perfect for this hot water bottle cover.
The pattern uses an unusual terms: YFRN (yarn forward round needle – AKA yarn forward over needle). You can see how to do it by clicking here.
To make the hot water bottle cover, you’ll need 200g super chunky yarn, with oddments in another colour (optional), a length of ribbon and button. It fits a standard 2L hot water bottle.
This is a very satisfying knit, quick and easy to do, producing lovely results.
